The devotion, that glow’d in her eye:
Religion’s sweet self in its light seem’d to stray, With mildness of night, with
the glory of day, But ’twas pity who promted her sigh.”
The foregoing is recorded by the writer with the hope that, some part of it will
be of interest, and that it will help in a small way to preserve the historic remains of
“OLD BETHEL” Cemetery.
Pioneer Families of “Old Bethel” (Methodist), and their descendants are being
compiled, and brought up to date in a Methodist Membership Record Book, to be
presented by Mrs. Nora Robarts Woodell.
