Incidentally, at his funeral, the audience had 4 or 5 doctors, and as I recall 4 of these doctors separately
came to me and told me how much they appreciated Tribble’s teaching, and they all said he was
instrumental in their decision to become doctors, and that he was the best instructor they ever had at any
level. Of course they knew me as his brother, since I appeared in the program and played a trumpet solo
al his funeral, so these strangers knew who 1 was. Incidentally the song that I played at his funeral was
“In the Garden”.
