Barefoot In The Sand: Remembering the Waning Days of the Hopewell Community (1998) Bruce C. Gragg

            APPRECIATION

Had it not been for the love and support of family I wouldn't have
been able to do this special project.

A special thank you to Vera and her assistance in getting the facts
together and in some form of chronological order. Vera also prodded
and encouraged me in doing this my special project of reminiscing.

Many, many thanks to my wife Mary and her help in editing for
grammatical correctness in the early stages of writing. Without her
help I'm not certain I could have finished with anything more than a
            collection of meaningless words.

The final editing was done by Phyllis Jordan. Many thanks to her and
her willingness to get involved so deeply into MY SPECIAL PROJECT.
She helped make it possible for me to finally put my childhood
            memories into print.

Uncle Carroll, helped tremendously with getting some dates and facts
as near correct as possible. He also provided valuable help in
editing and getting this ready to be printed.

Many neighbors contributed in so many ways during the years of my
growing up. There is no way to name everyone or recall everything or
event that took place. This would have become a very boring and
completely impossible task to have attempted had I chosen to do so.
That does not necessarily lessen the importance of these memories.

To all who had a part in my life and my growing-up—

THANK YOU FOR SUCH WONDERFUL MEMORIES.
