AP  takes  you

                                                                                to  the  top!

                                                                                      The  Advanced  Placement
                                                                                courses  offer  CHS  students  an
                                                                                alternative  to  attending  the
                                                                                Junior  College  for  credit.     AP
                                                                                classes  meet  everyday  at  the
                                                                                High  School  and  are  taught  by  a
                                                                                group  of  dynamic  instructors
                                                                                who     cover      college     level
                                                                                materials  and  prepare  their
                                                                                students  for  the  BIG  test  in  the
                                                                                spring  that  determines  whether
                                                                                or  not  they  get  college  or  high
                                                                                school  credit.    There  is  a  big
                                                                                challenge  for  all  the  students
                                                                                enrolled     in   these     classes
                                                                                because  the  materials  are  hard
                                                                                and  the  pace  is          intense.
                                                                                Amanda  Ogden  says,  "I  have
                                                                                really  enjoyed  my  AP  classes
                                                                                and  feel  they  have  prepared  me
                                                                                for  classes  at  UF."  Jana  Powell
                                                                                takes  AP  American  History  and
                                                                                "loves  it!"     Stephen  Francis
                                                                                takes  THREE  classes  and  says
                                                                                "they  are  a  lot  more  fun  and  a
                                                                                lot  more  work,  but  I  really
                                                                                enjoy  them!"

                                                                                Justin Moses provided helpful  Insight Into  several
                                                                                aspects of A.P. Biology. Jake Joye. Josh  Hallberg
                                                                                and  David  Hellman  took  advantage  of  this
                                                                                chance to learn.
